Colloquial Sentence #15 – Rasa-rasanya boleh jawab ke tak?

1. Rasa-rasanya – I/You think

This is just the same as saya rasa & awak rasa. This is equivalent to I think in English. You can also let the stem stay unduplicated, therefore rasanya also works!

2. boleh – can

Boleh means can, which is used to talk about ability and permission for an action to be done.

3. jawab – to answer

4. ke tak – or not (colloquial)

This ke is different from the preposition ke. You will only hear this in spoken Malay. It originates from the suffix -kah which is used in questions. This particular ke is used just like the word atau but ONLY in questions.

Tak is the shortened form of tidak.
